Shut Up And Listen 123 Dirty Pictures Of America The pictures weren’t that bad. Seriously. Pretty damn tame if you ask me. I mean, all we were shown were some close-ups of two ugly guys with a few red spots that were supposed to be blood maybe. Christ, as a child of the TV and video game era, I must say that that was nothing. I could find you much worse things that should be put on the front pages of papers all over. For example, a while back, Warren Ellis posted a link on his one site diepunyhumans.com that led to pictures of Iraqi children and the birth defects many suffer because of the Gulf War and chemicals and all of that. I mean, the pictures were horrific sights. I looked at maybe three and had to close the window because they were that disturbing. But you know what? People should see those pictures, they really should. Because those pictures represent what we’ve done to them. Let’s not fool ourselves, the West made Saddam Hussein, okay? What happened to those kids is our fault. People kept trying to gloss over the fact that if you went back to the mid-eighties that Saddam was everyone’s best friend. And that the US gave him his weapons and supported him. But anyone who reminded people of that was quickly told to shut up and support the troops. People should be forced to see those pictures so they aren’t so fucking stupid about things. Fuck! I mean, there are thousands, probably millions out there who have the attitude of “Who cares, it’s not here.” Go and find those fucking pictures and tell me that! The next time you hear someone talking about liberating Iraq, you remember who put Saddam in charge! The US is not the saviour in all of this. It’s are the fucking cause, okay? Don’t kid yourself about that. This isn’t something that’s anti-American, it’s fucking fact. But people don’t want the facts. The facts are cold and harsh and make people feel bad about doing nothing. I think those pictures of Hussein’s sons definitely should be displayed to all just because at least it shows America cleaning up a mess it fucking created. I wasn’t a supporter of the war for various reasons, but I’ll admit I’m glad those two sick fucks are dead. They were monsters and deserved to die most likely. But Americans shouldn’t be patting themselves on the back for it. No, to me, in the greater political scheme of things relating to the US, it was like finally mopping the floor after deliberately taking a shit on it. Honestly, America had a debt to pay to the Iraqi people. An apology for stepping in and helping to fuck them over. And they also owe the Iraqi people the service of finishing cleaning up their mess and then getting the fuck out and leaving them alone. It’s definitely the smart thing to do as the resistance against the US in Iraq is growing stronger by the day and now with all fear of the old regime returning, there’s no reason for them to hold back on getting rid of the occupying forces. Killing the Hussein boys just made the anti-American movement in Iraq stronger. Irony’s a bitch, ain’t it? But seriously, go out and try and find those pictures of those deformed children and see the true faces of American altruism in Iraq.
